Mildew smell.

How do I get rid of the mildew smell in my boat? It seems like it smells the day after I go boating and then subsides. I leave the boat outside for several hours after boating to let it start to dry out, and I raise the bow as high as I can get it. Is there anything else I should be doing after a day of boating? Thanks.

Totally agree on the bleach. If you are worried about bleaching out colors, maybe a color fast bleach will work; Clorox II or something like that. I never used the color fast type so I don't know if it works (on the mildew) or not.....I would assume so.

Small solar powered fan will keep it from mildewing so soon when the boat is covered. Or if you have access to electric, all the better....
