I'm Baaaaack!

I went to NY to help rebuild the first floor of my Mamma's house after the flood. I just got back yesterday afternoon. I'm pooped from doing so much manly work but she is in much better shape than when I arrived there two weeks ago.

We had to tear out all the walls and floors, replace joists, re-insulate and replace walls downstairs. We finished the bathroom two days ago and she is moved back into the house. They are putting in the kitchen now, so it won't be long before things are back to normal.

It will take me a bit to catch up. Hope y'all have been behaving yourselves.

rolmops, I was at Spruce Lake, north of Salisbury/Doldgeville. I also visited my family in Little Falls and Herkimer so I was in fact in the Mohawk Valley area.

The restaurant that fell into the river that was all over the news a couple of weeks ago is about 10 minutes away from the lake she lives on.

I remember seeing that on the news, not a pretty sight and it sure made for a darn ugly boat.

Actually, that was more of a bar than a restaurant. Drunks don't care what their boat looks like as long as it fishes.
