It is a 72 125hp and it is a mod that potects ignition against over voltage...

OR as most call it a rectangle thingy that is next to the recitifier filled with apoxy

Why don't you check BRP's web site ... it has parts list by year and model. You may be talking about a power pack, but what you describe is not it's function and you can't "bypass" it.
