Minn Kota Endura 28

I have this used trolling motor that I know the control switch is bad.. Is there a way to test the motor to see if it works? No sense getting a new switch if the motor is toast..

4 wires going to the motor:
Red and Black 12 gauge
white and yellow 14 gauge..

I have searched around, but have not found a place to get a new switch.. Minn Kota, or somewhere else that sells them?

You'll have to go to Minnkota for parts. Put 12 volts on the red (+) and black (-) wires. For heavens sake keep your fingers, pets, kids, wife and other stuff away from the prop.

Thanks for the info.. Turns out the motor is toast.. Looks like it got full of water and corroded the whole thing.. Good that it was free..
