Idle adjustment, 1964 Evinrude 75 hp

I recently read the thread on adjusting the low speed needles and it spoke of lowering the idle several times. My manual doesn't discuss how to adjust the idle. How is this done? Also, I would like to install a tach and I need guidance on how that is done.

Here is how mine works. I close my idle screws (clock wise). Then I back them off 1.5 turns and that is a good starting point. I have a 1967 60 hp, I hope this helps.

I understand the low speed needles but how do you adjust the idle speed?
