Can anyone suggest a good (preferrably stealthy) web site blocker? I want to filter out websites that are not appropriate for kids on one of my PC's.

If you know the sites you want to block, you can use the restricted sites option in IE's internet options to block what you don't want them going to!

Most of the big IP's have filters built in. Earthlnik and AOL are the only ones i am familiar with, buty they both have "parental controls" areas.

if you have a firewall on it that can be used as well!

if you use winders, it also has "internet security" in the net setup. I dunno much about that tho, as i use webroot and Symantec firewalls. and these disable winders' protection features in leu of their own.

Netnanny is OK. Consumer Reports just had a big article on products of this nature.

You could also try supervising the kids when they use the computer. That is very effective.

Google "internet child monitor" tons of products out there. Net Nanny has been around for a long time and they seem to be pretty good.
