My wife spent 8 months in London when she was college and we were discussing baked potatos. She said that when she was over there, she had a Baked potato with Baked Beans on it...

She couldn't remember what it was called though... she said you brits have a special name for it --- do you know what they're called?

I've always known it as baked potatoe with baked beans.

Staple food for students, if they are entertaining they may go overboard and add a little cheese.

Are they as popular in the States as they are over here??. You will find a baked potato van at every outdoor function.

University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee used to have a food vendor in the student union.
It was named "SouperSpud"
Yes, they sold soup and baked potatoes, with about a dozen toppings to choose from.

Aye but she should have tried them with Haggis 8)

Chilli comes a close second as a topping...........

Me? I prefer my potatoes deep-fried, in fact my motto in life is "If ya can't deep fry it then it ain't worth eating" works for me, all 375 pounds of me :^
