Got a bit of a problem! I just bought a 2nd hand 2hp Suzuki DT-2 (90's I'd say), put her in a test tank, put in fuel/oil mix, turned her over, she fired first time ran for about 1-2 secs and then 'thunk' stopped. The flywheel now won't turn with the pull cord or by hand although it will if you put a wrench on the centre nut and turn it. Any ideas what I have done and how I solve it?

the 'thunk" you are describing, did it make a funny noise before it stopped?

Hi deejay, I'm not really sure to be honest as I wasn't really expecting it so wasn't listening that closely but I think it did which is why I described it as a 'thunk'. It certainly stopped pretty sharpish and didn't just slowly die.

Hi, found the problem! A chunk of metal had somehow got between the flywheel and the casing. Got it out (not easy) and now she's running along lovely!
