Agitator, I know what you mean. Seems like they sell it to us in the crude, and then in the refined. At least around here, they learned English, and do well to eliminate the thick accent, I respect them for that. Now we need all the immigrants to do the same.
And Limited-Time, used to be Shell was very expensive, .03-.10 more than the other stations. Now around here we have several that are generally within .01 of the least expensive stations, and one Shell that is typically the least expensive. Now consider Top Tier fuel. Generous Motors, Toyota, Honda and BMW formed a coalition and developed standards for what they consider Top Tier fuel. I won't go too far into specifics, but it is a standard for purity, content and deposit forming agents. As a certified (ASE & State) mechanic, I have read GM's TSB's regarding Top Tier fuel, and have serviced vehicles exhibiting symptoms that TT fuel is intended to prevent. So when it is so closely priced, I try to use the higher quality Top Tier fuel from Shell. There are many other brands that meet Top Tier standards, ask your mechanic for the list, he/she should be able to provide it.
