This is something I've been searching for several days and finally found it. I just thought it might be useful to someone else so I thought I'd post it.
When replacing a drain hole you need some brass tubing and a tool to create the flange that holds it into place. I've often heard it referred to as flaring the end, but good luck finding it if you search for any combination of "flare". Well after finally finding the tool I can see why flange is correct and flare maybe isn't.

The pictures should speak for themselves.
I hope someone finds that information useful. d
