J5 1965,66,67.Some J5s are rated at 3 hp 4,500 rpm.
others are 5hp at 6,800 5.76 cu. in.Champion J12C plug set at .025,points set at .020.Fuel mix 4ozs per gallon.Most reccomend 2 stroke chain saw oil.Air cooled powerhead with a water cooled exhaust leg.
Clinton is out of business.If I had it I would sell it and put the money toward an Evinrude/Johnson or other major brand of similar horse power.
My opinion these motors are a comprimise with portability and cost being their prime advantage.
Noisy,under powered,and
not particularly reliable.With good care it would probably perform ok.

Thanks for the info guys.

a water cooled exhaust leg.

Can this be run temporarily out of the water? Does not appear to have a pump, just passive cooling inlets.

My after market manual indicates there is a pump.
