The Dow has topped 12,000. Why no backflips and gyrations similiar to those that occured when it topped 11,000?

I'm smiling. However, the run up to 11,000 was mostly in one sector of the market. So those that were in it were making all kinds of money, at least on paper. This rally has been more broad based. Only a couple sectors down, the rest are up. So most people are smiling with this run up, it is not the giddy, giggly, exciting rise the last one was.

But again, I am smiling!

The deficit is actually Lower(% of GNP)...........
