1994 Yamaha Outboard plugs not firing

I have a 1994 40 HP Yamaha outboard and the plugs are not firing. They did this past summer and after sitting about two months it will not start. Battery was bad but when replaced it was found that the sppark plugs are not firing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did someone pull the kill switch?

check to see if u are getting votls to the coils also

Thanks for the replies. I did check the kill switch. I'll have to check on the volts to the coil. I don't have a meter so I'll find someone who does. Thanks very much!

u will need a dva to test for volts, and also do ohms check

A timing light or spark tester will tell you if the plugs are firing.

without a model number I cant help much, there were a couple different ignition systems for a 94 40.
other than check inputs and outputs to and from the cdi.
