It has been a while sence I've been on the posts.
we have been very busy.
Just got back form Branson. and mom has been in and out of the Hospital. She is out now.
and Me and my Family had just passed our boating test.
Oklahoma made it mandatory for any one 12-16 must have a test to drive a water vehicle. and no one under 12 can drive. Starting jan 1. So I just signed up all my crew. I wish everyone would go to the classes. They are free and may save a life.. The lake officer that gave our class had been an officer for 25 years and has recovered 3oo bodies himself. and he only serves 3 lakes and many rivers. Kinda puts it in perspective.
He said if we only remember two things from the class is
Courtisy and common sence. But that is the two things that usually gets left home.
I hope you all concider taking some kind of class.
It is well worth it.

Re: Hello everyone, I'm back

I was just thinking of you yesterday. Very happy to see you post and great advice. I think my 13 YO will attend this year, maybe all of us, although planning that sounds like a nightmare. Also, I think Mrs. QC would say "that's what we have you for" . . . Good on ya!!

How ironic......Same here, but is was a couple of days ago. I'm glad we were able to get your attention. Hope all is well in Ok. Great to see that the crew is learnig about boating safety. I couldn't agree more that everyone should take some form of organized boating safety glasses. Just when you think you know what you need to someone will teach you something new.

Welcome back......Don't be such a stranger.

Re: Hello everyone, I'm back

Just to add my welcome home Serenity, and don't worry you didn't miss much d:)

As others have said, it'd be nice to see Bassy and BabD come back to but they'll have their reasons. Probably too busy fishin'! 8)

Hi Serenity and the rest of DC. Its nice to know I'm thought of. I've really missed being a part of this these past few months. If it helps you understand better, I haven't been on a boat or near water all year. Terrible and totally unacceptable, I know. Someone come get me out of my misery!!
I've been around here a little, peeking in on certain topics of interest. I'm just buried with teaching. 7th graders this year and boy are they difficult. The curriculum is more demanding than ever before and oh if you only knew. California has such wonderful ideas on paper. More work for the teachers and less time with the kids. Oh yeah, that's bound to help things. NOT!
These young, little attitudes seem to get worse every year. I have one who is already on a behavior contract and its only the 3rd month of school. I'm exhausted and just can't seem to get ahead. But I do love what I do. When those lightbulbs go on its amazing and soo very cool!
So, just know I'm still around, just can't find the time to post. But IBoats is still my #1 site!
Take care all, Bassy

Re: Hello everyone, I'm back

[colour=blue]Seems to be a growing trend with the teacher/ student time ratio - the same thing is happening here. Thank God this is my kids LAST year at school.

Nice to hear your 'voice' Bassy!
