Outdrive: Alpha 1 # OD554000. Does anyone know what Sierra water pump housing kit goes with this drive? The kits I have seen do not match the drive serial number sequence.

I guess I just need clarification with the serial number. When looking for parts, do I use just the "554000" portion, or include the whole number "OD554000" as stamped on the drive?

You need the 0D also. Note, it's a 0 (zero) not the letter O as the first digit.
