Each each use, water is in the hull (between floor and hull), probably 1 qt or less. My father bought the boat new and says it was that way since new.

I repainted the hull this summer and inspected it carefully, looking for a place for water to leak, to no avail. Any ideas??

Thanks.

Joint between the hull and deck maybe?

drain plug, mine was leaking just a little, most rudder plugs are adjustable, insert, twist the handle clockwise to tighten, then fold it. stopped my leak.

water leak is into the space between hull and floor. The last several times I took it out, I did not get any water on the deck of the boat, so even if plugs leaked going into the subfloor area, they wouldnt contribute. the plug for the thru-transom drain does not leak, as I watched it for 10 minutes while on the water....It seems to be from below waterline and into space...

Could condensation create this amount of water??

If it is an inboard maybe a cooling water leak. Maybe a crack that is opening up under stress only letting water in. Could you put some water (maybe with a contrasting food color to the hull) in it and tilt it every way and see where it comes out maybe? Maybe splashing up the side and getting under the cap seam (if it is this type of boat) or something similar at the back when launching or going in reverse. Just some thoughts

Yes, I bought some propylene glycol to put into the hull and see if it begins to drip from somewhere...

I know this sounds a bit extreme, but I had the same problem, and as I was going to tear out the deck and check the foam, I thought, why not?

I blocked up the frame of my trailer and filled the boat with water... about 6" above the water line.... found the leak. 8)
