Bent "Fin?" Below prop Force 125

On my Force 125 I've noticed the "fin" below the prop (I know there's a name for it but can't remember) is bent slightly to one side (about 1" from exact center).
Will this make the boat pull one way or the other and what is the best way to straighten it without breaking or damage? Tried softly to straighten it but afraid of breaking it off. Is this a big deal?

Re: Bent

Skeg.

It may pull the boat, if it is twisted.
If it is just bent to one side, it will likely be fine.

Some guys have straightened them by heating them and then tapping them back to position, between 2 2x4's.

But it is not a big deal, I wouldn't mess with it unless there is a big problem.

If the boat is pulling to one side, try adjusting the "exhaust snout", the tailpipe above the prop.

Re: Bent

Thanks Roscoe. It's not twisted, only bent to one side. I did notice boat pulling to one side slightly but not real a big pull from what I remember. I thought of heating it but was concerned with melting a seal or something.
I'll leave it alone for now and check steering in spring.
Thanks again!
Oh, how the heck you adjust "exhaust snout"?

Re: Bent

Loosen the bolt, slide snout to one side, tighten bolt.
It doesn't move much, but it is supposed to act as an adjusting tab.

If boat pulls to the right, move the rear edge of the snout to the right.
