Yup. 1974

Replacing the impeller is a simple job using a Service Manual. No Manual, just asking for trouble.

It all depends on when it was last done and how the outboard has been maintained since. Frequent maintenance and fresh water: no problem, diys, learn something and enjoy. Salt water and changed last during the Trudeau era: you've got some work ahead of you. You'll learn something though.
