i have a 1970 17'8" boat, according to the title, but it dosent list a mnaufacturer. can anyone help me, i'll try to post pics, but i dont know if it's going to work
i have looked at the transom for a hull id, cant find one. the red isnt origonal, it was re-painted before i got it. but after sanding away at the transome to fill some holes, i had found that there was quite a bit of red undernieth also. on the title, the "identification number" is :tt181020r. does that help at all?
No problem.
Not sure why they didn't post for you.
You need to upload the photos to a web hosting service, like photobucket or imagestation.
Then you Come back to iboats, click the little yellow photo box above the dialog box.
Copy and paste the url from the photo hosting site.
when the box upper left appears, back space what is on the line, then hit ctrl v, the ok. should come up. if you want to just leave a link, don't use the yellow box, just down space 2 lines and hit ctrl v.
mike that the registration number off the bow of the boat, to the tax collector's office. they can run it in the state wide computer. they just did this for me on a sail boat. they have the complete registration history of the boat.
Mike that registration number (TT181020R ) shows as the HIN/VIN on the title. Previous titles show the manufacturer as Tuppen. There is a Tuppen Marine in Lake Worth, FL and has been in business since the '50s. It is probably one of their house brand boats. My Father-in-law has one that looks exactly like it built by Flare in Bartow, FL. Here's a link to contact Tuppen. hope this helps.

finnaly found out what it is. i was cleaning the boat (deep clean), and found a little sealed flotation keychain. inside it was an old registration paper that called it a "Tuppen". so i guess they mystery has been solved.
