When I put my motor in forward or reverse, the prop turns at low rpms, and the boat moves slowly. However, the prop/gears won't engage under when I try to accelerate with higher rpms and the engine simply revs. I have had the lower unit seals replaced & the lower unit appers to be reconnected correctly. What could be wrong??

Any grinding noise. If not then you most likely have a spun prop hub. A prop shop can fix it.

There is not a grinding sound, so it sounds like I need a new prop.

You can put a witness mark on the inner metal hub of the prop. Put another witness mark exactly even with the first on the edge of the prop. Run the motor again in the water and make it rev up. Check the marks. If they are no longer aligned with each other then you hub is slipping.
