Yamaha cover 9.9 or 15

Does the 9.9 engine cover fit the 15 horse Yamaha? I am talking older model here. I am not sure if it is 2 or 4 stroke. I don't know much about Yammys and the item description is crap. Here is a link to the craigslist ad.

that looks like the most unstable thing i've seen in a while. strap your butt to the seat, cause the guy in back, is gonna throw you in the drink. do you sit on the deck to operate the motor. looks very poorly planned out.

I wouldn't be interested in the boat. Looks useless. Plus, mom thinks we have enough of those. Bank account does too. But, I would like to buy the outboard by itself and use it on the currently underpowered Grumman.

i believe the 9.9 and 15 are same motors just the 15 has pt&t with bigger cabs

Yes they will fit, they are almost identical, but they need to be from the same year obviously .....

From that pic, could you guys tell me what decade that is from? The guy has not emailed me a response yet, and I would like to find what kind of money that is worth, but have no clue how old it is.
