2. The gas you are buying now was purchased at the high prices. The oil companies are not losing money. It will catch up.
3. The politicians are keeping quiet because if they take credit for lowering prices they have to accept blame when they rise again. Of course, rising prices are always GW's fault and falling prices have nothing to do with GW.

How many times has this been explained here?
Another reason prices at the pump don't follow the commodity price is shear simple greed from the guys that own the pumps..... it's called the rocket up and the feather down principle.
The guys at the pump will raise prices at the drop of a hat or a sneeze in any sector of the oil industry. (hint, they make more money that way)
The guys at the pump will only lower prices if the guy next door lowers his. (hint, they make more money that way)
Oil prices, gas stock prices, and heavy distillates have been falling like a rock for the last 5 months. Oil prices are as low as they where in April 2005.... is your gas?.... Noooo. Is your diesel?.... Nooooo.
Do you know why? Do you know why the price goes up in the summer? Why it goes up during Hollidays?

They did go up a tad just after the election as predicted, but only a tad and not very log. Had they dipped this low, you guys just might have retained control in at least one of the houses. Gee Dub's oil buddies let you down, man.![]()
