OMC Paint Code

Hello,
I am refinishing a 78 Johnson 140 cowling and the customer would like OMC paint part number 771226. Is there a way to crosslink that with a standard paint code? Thanks for you help in advance.

You mean like an automotive equivalent by number? I don' t think so. What you can do is take it to an autobody supply. Many have scanners that can read the paint and then copy it. You can get paint to mix and spray in a gun, or spray bomb. You also might try Tempo. They make marine matching paints. Or you can probably still order that number you gave from any Johnson/Evinrude dealer.

The PPG color code is 90538. The Bombardier replacement (current) part number for your Johnson white in spray cans is 777171, and is available from any dealer.
