I have tried to deal with ideas not personalities on this forum and I got emotional and struck out at you: PLEASE FORGIVE ME. I know you feel that I "basicaly insult everyone"..."in"..."the quest to force their view onto others", I don't see it that way but you are intitled to your views about me or anything you wish to have views about. You have also accused me of spewing "hate" and being a "hater", I also don't agree with your view on that, but you are free to state what you wish about me or anything else. You tend to have an emotional style of rant that creates "straw men" arguments that you then knock down that I have labeled "fuzzy"; it is a very different type of discource then I choose but there is room for all styles in political debate. I know you have been here much longer that I have, and BB also seems to share your dislike for me. I can't change the way that I am, but I shall try to avoid attacking you. You seem to be a very thoughtfull person. I agree that we may actually be friends in different circumstances. I doubt I am like Jimmy Carter compared to your inlaws, (I am probably similar to them). Do you really need to see Americans jumping to their deaths? Does that empower you? Does it make you feel good? Does it somehow make you feel superior? I'd play the 9-11 coverage every day if I had control over the media. I think Bush would be doing much better in the polls if people didn't forget 9-11.

Darryl Worley's song, "Have you forgotten?" reminds me of the democratic party every time I hear it. Tears run down one cheek for our soldiers and their families, tears on the other are for the democratic party.

I guess you don't see the forest for the trees. You want to talk about hate? You ever listen to NPR, or any of the major networks? Just one diff between us. I must have a stronger memory. I don't need to see it daily to be reminded of why we fight terrorism or who is terrorist are. So you may be right, maybe you need to see it daily. Maybe you need to see a split screen of the planes with a picture of OBL daily. Maybe then, you too will understand who the real terrorist is. Maybe then you will understand who enemy #1 is. Maybe then, you too, will question who W has chosen to fight first.

You need reminded daily, and so does W. WHO ATTACKED THE TOWERS? WAS IT HUSSEIN, THE IRAQI INSURGENTS? If you truly wanted to fight terrorism at its roots, you too would be screaming that we must kill OBL. Not you though, you are happy as long as someone is being killed. You have your head so far up W's azz that you can can't see the head of terrorism is unaccounted for and intends on attacking again. But hey, as long as we fight in Iraq, OBL won't come back here again.....right? That is the contention with many here. What an ignorant and misguided view.

Look at the recent history of attacks on the US, whether here or abroad. Remove you head and see if you can find the common denominator.

If/when OBL carries out another terrorist attack on US soil, you can all continue to feel good knowing we are fighting on the ground in Iraq and because of that, they cannot possibly bring it back to the US.

Your right waterinfuel I would show the trade center bombing before each newscast, it would be a truthful news cast, in showing that the perpetrators orders came from OBL and the he was still at large.

That would be followed by the latest death toll of American troops in Iraq, followed by the death toll of Iraqi citizens. So far we are averaging a little over 2 American troops killed per day, to put in perspective this thread was started on April the 9th, it is now the 13th, so about 2 and a half American troops were killed while we argued about the media.

During that same time period there were 210 Iraq civilians killed, all of this while the planners of the Twin Towers Bombing is still free to plot and kill again.

Oooo yes wareriinfuel I would show all, at the end of my newscast there would be a viewing of the flag draped caskets being unloaded from the planes, being sent home to there grieving parents for this war that was built on lies and distortion of the truth.

All of the Jihadist are able to focus on Iraq, and point out to the illiterate followers of the Whabbi brand of Islam, that they could go to Iraq and get there 72 virgins for blowing themselves up. In other words they now have a focal point, that they didn’t have prior to our occupation of Iraq.

I’ve supplied a link and some numbers that you can peruse when you get a chance, none of them have anything about the enemy body count, but you will notice that there is about a ten percent margin of error so put in it what you feel like.
