If I convert my 5.7 mercruiser from the log style manifolds to center rise manifolds how do I re-route the thermostat plumbing? If at all !

I think that it would differ if you are raw water cooled vs. fwc........;)

Re: Log style manifold conversion

I converted just as you ask.
Went with GLM center riser.
The water inlet is still in the forward part of the man.
Just added a 90 deg hose fitting to connect to
the therm. housing.

There are other connectors from the risers to the
intermediate housing that were more troublesome.
But longer exhaust hose did the trick.

The folks at ebasic power helped me.
I was able to drive there and get personal help.
Good folks, you can get them on ebay.

Hope this helps.

Nothing.....
But you will get a little more HP from the better flow & reduced back pressure.......;)

Re: Log style manifold conversion

well I'm glad to here that, I suppose I may try to convert in a few years when I need to change the manifolds, the engine's fresh, but my boat's old like me and I don't ever use the power it has now. I try to stay out of the secondaries, the gas goes too quick..d:)
