I wish they would set the clocks one way or the other and then leave them the hell alone! Big brother does not need to tell me when I have to get up and off to work!

Re: March 11th

I got this memo at work today>>>>>>>>>>>

Congress has changed the dates for Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the United States starting in 2007. These changes will cause computer clocks, (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile devices calendar appointments) to display incorrect times starting March 11 through April 1, 2007 and October 28 through November 4, 2007. This cycle will continue in subsequent years.

IT Departments are working to deploy the required patches from our vendors to your affected systems and devices. In some situations we may not be able to reach users due to location and access. Over the next few weeks we will be providing you links and instructions on how to patch your devices if needed. We will also provide you instructions to validate if your system has been addressed through our automation efforts.

Older VCR's, TV's, Appliance timers will have to be changed by hand. OMG! It's the end of the world as we know it! 8)

Huh well looking through my inbox they seem to have sent me an email two weeks ago explaining how they plan on fixing the issue....

Maybe I need to go through that thing more often.:|

As long as you, a home user, are keeping up to date with updates, you'll be ok. If you choose not to, well your on your own. As for businesses, it's up to the IT folks to make sure the patches are pushed out.
