Like a few other guys at the min I also am having issues dropping the lower leg on my outboard. I have the service manual and have removed all the recommended nuts, 5 in total. Are there any other linkages I should be aware of while doing this?

The leg will not come off, this will be the fiirst time it has been taken off should I expect it to be difficult?

Thanks
Ryan

IF you have the 4 bolts and 1 nut off, it should come off.
It may be stuck on the alignment dowels. I usually tap them with a mallet near the back (DO NOT hit the cavitation plate) of the lower to get it to pop loose. The shift linkage is splined and should just pull apart.
