our motor which has run excellent until now is now hard starting , yestarday when traveling on planeat about 5000rpm's it just cut out on us. After priming and waiting about 5 minutes it started again only to cut out on us 1/2 way across the lake, we ran approx 3 miles. Again to do the same thing wait, reprime , hard starting then it would run another 2 miles but kept surging. we finally got off the water.
We replaced the plugs, checked the gas, cleaned the carbs. It will run without surging if you throttle it at the carburator linkage but if you run it from the console it keeps surging and running eraticly eventually cutting out again.
The plugs were wet when checked that is why we replaced them , but the compresson is fine at 140 in each cylinder and holds it.
any suggestions would be appreciated
