Yup, no sleep for the kid this weekend. Gonna miss my man Juan Pablo, though.

You ever been to the race at Indy, JB? Nothing in the world like hearing those babies live. I miss the V10s but the v8s ain't no slouch either.

RACE will be televised LIVE at 10:30PM tonite here in Florida, on the speed channel (607 on direcTV).

What's worse is that if you had told me I would've stayed in Melbourne and helped lessen your shame. Actually that's why I left Mel on Friday. Room rates were doubling and tripling . . .

I was sure it was fishing reels too. Good thing it wasn't as I would've had to PM Spinner to move it to Saltwater Fishing . . .

Well, I really am impressed with McLaren's #2 driver, Hamilton. Maybe I'll root for the rookie.

Nope, can't do that - they are not mine. Let me explain..............

My brother works for a roofing company, he is offered 2 x VIP passes from Boral for the 4 day race meet, including the big race. Problem is, he hates motor racing so he gives them to me (I LLLOOOVVVEEE motor racing). Now the headache begins -

My wife wants to go.
My son wants to go.
I just KNEW that Kevin would want to go.
A Japanese friend who was visiting Melbourne for the first time wants to go (never ever seen a real live motor race of any type before).

Before I mention anything to Kevin, he tells me that he will be in Perth. Great, one down and 2 to go! (sorry QC :$ ). Then my son tells me that he has an all night party on saturday and he doesn't think he will be breathing Sunday morning. Excellent! 2 down and 1 to go. Japanese guest want to be with both me and my wife, doesn't want to split up over the weekend - damn!!!! What could I do?

So all 3 of us went to a nice waterfront cafe and had breakfast and soaked up the sun and drank chardy and beer and watched the race live on a 20ft big screen. The tickets are in the bin. :'(

Well, the "Ice Man" was his usual cool self and drove away far enough, then just cruised. Awesome driving.

This young fella Hamilton is going to be one of the greats. He is one to watch this season. Earning a podium spot in your very first F1 race is extraordinary.
