Looking at this old boat that is at a dealer a few miles from me.I really only need the trailer but for the price thought i could re-sell the boat on my other trailer and make a few bucks. If compression numbers on motor is ok...is it worth it? I bet i could walk in with 800 cash and drag it home. Any suggestions?

Dang it,link won't work right!

Me thinks with that Yammie, they'll be insisting on another $1000... unless it does not run.

They have it listed for 995...If it runs i thought heck, junk the boat, sell the motor, keep the trailer..Or just sell the whole thing..Nothing in the ad said it does not run.I think i'll go look at it this week.
The 99 model trailer is worth a few bucks..

Not if I beat you to it. If that thing runs I wouldn't leave without it hooked to my truck . . .

The one red flag that I can see from your pic is the wood placed under the starboard seat....I would bet the deck rotted in this location and the pedestal ripped out at one time ...Rot spreads quickly and is hard to stop...Make sure the stringers and other parts of the deck are not soft. If so, expect more days in your back yard than on the water. Check around other places screws were added such as the transducer on the transom.

Otherwise, it looks like a nice package.

I noticed the wood under the seat too.All i'm concerned with is the motor checks out.I will probably part it out if the motor is good.

Agree on the wood.

I had two older boats that had a dead air space under the floor. Was supposed to serve as floatation, before the widespread use of foam.

With this experience in two older boats built with plywood supports for deck and pine stringers (fiberglas boat) this type of construction is bad news.

The Yammie looks like it's worth the $1000 even if the boat turns out waterlogged. If not it looks like a great rig at a super price. Looks to be a smoooth rider, top, walk thru windshield, lots of deck space for fishing.....whadda deal.

Trailer looks decent-- Yammy looks decent--Boat don't look too bad! You want the trailer and you'll probably make back your money on the rest. I say go for it. But realize that selling a fiberglass boat without a trailer is very iffy. You may have to cut it up and junk it.

That's more like It. Like Dee said, that appears to be a new Yammie and it alone should be worth more than $1000 unless it has major engine damage.

That's still a great looking boat for bay or large lake fishing.
