Johnson 2.6 GT - Can someone tell me what year?

Hello,

I'm trying to find out the year of my engine. The numbers are not very clear so they may be off by a digit or two:
Serial #: J5974162
Model #: J235STLOR6

They made these engines 83 through 85. It is possible that your numbers are actually STLCRC. This would make it an 84. The unique letter that defined the 2.6 is the "S".
