Explain the difference between Type A & Type B fuel hose

And which do I want to use to replace my fuel supply line. Current hose is getting hard and says Type A/B on it.

In a nutshell, Type A1 is what you want for I/O's (more fire resistant), the B1 is for outboards and has a plastic outer coating (mostly for UV protection).
