fuel-oil problems

I was convinced to remove the oil tank and just mix oil in my fuel, a year or so ago.
I have a 70 hp evenrude 1980 year, I plugged the oil side as instructed, but now I seem to loose the prime on the fuel, and keep having to pump the bulb.
Is there a conversion fuel pump, or what could be the problem otherwise

If your motor is really a 1980, it started life with a conventional fuel pump and could probably go back to that, as long as you don't mind mixing the fuel and oil yourself.

Take a look at the parts manual for your motor here:

Welcome Terry

What was the reason you disabled the oil side? It's possible that you have an air leak in one of the fuel lines or fittings that is allowing the system to suck air instead of fuel. Check those first. There is a basic pump available that you can use to convert the motor to pre-mix. I did this on my 70 HP rude and it worked out fine. Pump was about $50.00. The OMC part number is 438556....

Rickdb1boat: Yes this is what I believe is occuring.
thanks for the info PN and all, a fellow tried to sell me one for 160;00 I thought it was a little pricey.
The reason I disabled it was it was over oiling, and causing a lot of smoke, and plug fouling, the first problem was under oiling. I just didn't have confidence in the system.
