Hi to everyone. I am in need of a 4.3L V6 block 1999 or newer!!! Does anyone know where I can find one to replace the cracked block I have? I don't need a rebuilt motor just the block or block and heads. Please email if you can help and I really appreciate any info or help in finding this. Thanks everyone. Leo

Your Local Junkyard is a Good Place to Look........

A Donor motor from a 1997 to current Truck motor would be the Best......

Or,....... A GM Dealer will sell you a New 1..........

So you neglected to winterize it, eh? You and a few thousand every year. Get a reconditioned. Don't stick your used guts in a new OR used block. You're begging for catastrophic failure. Suck it up and do it right or you'll be doing it all over again.

Where are you? I have my old engine that I would give you for free, but you have to pick it up or arrange for the shipping. It's basically a longblock. The heads are vortec heads but would need to be cleaned and rebuilt. The engine was replaced because it dropped a valve. It had about 60 hours on it when this happened and I had only had the boat for one season. It has been stored oiled and out of the weather, and although I haven't looked at it recently (it's in the crate my new longblock came in), I would expect that it is still in good shape. It's stored next to my barn. When I go down to feed, I'll open it up and have a look and maybe take a picture to add to this.

edit: Just noticed the year requirement. Mine would be 1997 vintage TTBOMK. I'm not engine savvy enough to know if that matters...

Well, as I expected, it looks the same as when I put in in there. The push rods and rockers from the side with the head removed are in the little cardboard box.
