Re: 90% and now the motor

almost done, a little ply in the floor and bimini, missing brackets, then get the motor as i like it. solid oak antique barstools for front, and oak porch swing for the back.

You did what they used to do back in the day. Most things in old boats came from other markets. To much money to have things custom made so off the shelf had to do. This guy I know looked everywhere for a set of hatch springs and hinges for his boat. Come to find out they were 1972 Chevy hood hinges.

PS You have done a great job on the restore.:)

It'll be a cool little boat to cruise around in. I find the eclectic stuff way more interesing than the new cookie cutter stuff...

You wouldn't be interested in her sister would you. I just bought one to get the trailer that was under it and the bought is in great shape. There are a couple of small dent on the bottom but nothing that couldn't be gotten out with a little body hammer work.

I'll see about getting some pics tommorow if you like.

Is she running yet?

I like the seats and everything. Looks like something that would be ferrying people about on Coney Island!

she running, hasn't been splashed. I'm still concerned on the cooling, in the tub, i'm still not getting any spray out the exhaust. deadline was Monday Memorial day, but i'm still trying to get her registered as a Duracraft instead of homemade. It will be worth it in the future for resale if i ever sell it.

Does the powerhead feel too hot?
I had an older 'rude that didn't have a telltale or a temp gauge and it didn't seem to have enough circulation. I ran some Salt Away salt flush through it and it improved the cooling considerably.

What's up with the DMV; are they giving you a hard time?

Re: 90% and now the motor

you know it, that just the way they are, out of state boat, no title from georgia, who doesn't title, not registration, or old numbers, all i have is the 5 digit hull number from 1956, and Duracraft Boats is not a friendly company. yes, in the can the head seems to get considerable hot. rather quickly.
