Figured yall might get a kick out of what happened today! I was working on the trailer tongue today and I unbolted the whole thing and pulled it off. I setup my little saw horses so I could start sanding it down for paint. After sanding for an hour I finally had it how I wanted.

Ran to the store and got the Rust Stop primer and the Rust Stop black paint. I then put my dog on the chain as we dont have a fence. She has a 30ft lead to run around on. Sure enough I put 2 layers of primer on and then go up to the door. I holler for the dog and then look over and see she is wrapped around my saw horses holding up the big trailer tongue I just painted...

First thing I do is yell "STAY!" Sure enough she takes off running then the saw horse moved and scared her so she took off harder and sure enough all my hard work went straight to the ground!

Lesson learned...

Yah! Ya have to love them. I think during the process I was more scared of the thing falling on her! That steel pipe thing is like 2x4 and about 10ft long. If that had dropped on her... no doubt her back would have broke! I reckon I need to pay more attention myself.

You should know (by now) that cable, rope, hose, straps and chain, ALWAYS wrap and entangle themselves in the most illogical and unappropiate ways.....ALWAYS!
It's the rule of physics regarding flexible lenght. Entanglement is directly proporsional to the lenght of the flexible item.

Glad your pooch didn't get hurt!

What breed of dog is it? I believe I hold the title of Worlds Clumsiest German Shepperd. They're suppose to be graceful creatures, but.....oh, not mine. Wouldn't trade her for a stack of brand new quarters, though.

My dad's dog was recently licking the dirty silverwear in the dishwasher as she's prone to do. Got something stuck in her collar, freaked out, ran, taking the entire lower rack of the dishwasher with her, plates and silverwear flying. Fortunately nothing broke. Dumb, dumb dog.

Up to the part about the chain, I thought this was going to end with a "special" paint additive. given the saw horses, that could only of happened after it crashed to the ground. :D

Just a week or two ago, I found one of our dogs nawing on the floating prop wrench. Must of grabed before I got out of the boat. Love em.

We always know where the dog is we have managed to actually trailer down to the river, launch and get under way with the cat hiding in the boat. That was one confused animal when he decided he was tired of being in the boat.

Now thats funny, I enjoyed the laugh.

It sucked... I was out in a cove swimming, got back in the boat and there's a hot pile of dog poo on the floor. If that wasnt enough, she had stepped in it, and when she put her paws on the seat it got all over that too. I ended up crushing 2 beer cans, scooping the crap out with them, and sinking the cans. It was terrible.

Did you have to empty the cans first? Dang......
We have a pontoon, my wife is always afraid the dogs are going to jump off. We have the little life jackets for them. Took our main dog, a Bichon Frise, on a houseboat on Lake Powell with my family, including my niece's Golden Retriever; they had a blast! Talk about muddy messes, though - our white dog was pretty red a couple of times!
He had a bladder stone removed a couple of weeks ago, found out today he has to be on a special food ($23/10#) forever. Since he and our auxiliary back-up dog (a Shih-tsu) eat out of the same dish, guess our food costs just took a heck of a jump. Hope we can still afford the rent!

The picture is titled "The dog's name is Peaches" or why I always take the chick magnet boating.
