I did a quick search but couldn't find what I was looking for so I'll post a new question.

Getting an '88 23' Runabout/Bowrider with 7.4L 454 Mercruiser. It will only be on lakes here in Middle Tenn. What is a 'typical' boat insurance policy look like on something like this? Need liability, what else? New to boating insurance...

Thanks!

Re: Quick Question about Boat Insurance

Dont quote me on any of this and I'd imagine that laws differ from state to state but. (plus Im only 16 so my mom takes care of all the paper work for my boat) But I think all you need is liablilty in NYS. Other than that theres optional stuff you can buy i.e. Theft, hull coverage, engine, coverage and collision...to this day I still dont understand there are boating accidentsa

Re: Quick Question about Boat Insurance

it's call an umbrella policy, but it has to be listed, not automatic.
