Summertime Energy usage

Hi all,
I'm curious to know how much energy you folks use for summer time cooling in your neck of the woods. Here is mine in Fresno:

1500 sq feet home, built in 2000

June 06 - 684 kwh - $86.60
July 06 - 1083 kwh - $166.71
Aug 06 - 732 kwh - $89.56

We make an efforts to keep energy usage down. The money we safe we up it into boating account!

Now you understand why I was asking what attic fan you used...strangely enough if I just searched "attic fan" on Home Depot's site I got nothing. And of course when I'm actually there I always forget I want to check these out.

Yup, that's about right. But, my "equalizer" payment is only $125 because Winter usage is so low.

Use "whole house fan" as your search criteria.

Around here, we wait 11.5 months for summer to get here.
Do you really think we're gonna cool it down when it does?

Actually, I do turn on a fan once in a while.

Our rates change with the seasons..... it is such a pain to keep track of and I am on a budget plan where the power company chages me the same amount every month.

I use about $150 a month.... Electric stove/oven, refrig, chest freezer, electric dryer, forced hot air (oil burner) furnace, deep well pump, hot tub, computer, tv and satellite system, and a small 6000 btu ac for that RARE warm day or two during our 2 weeks of summer.

In minnesota

I have electric EVERYTHING except the Propane Furnace
2.5ton 14 seer AC unit for the summer
3050sq foot

I average ~1000kw a month with the furnace running in the winter and ac in the summer. Everything is energy star rated and I use CFL lightbulbs in 90% of my light fixtures (except the stairways since they don't light brightly right away)

800kw=58$
1300kw=106$

Mid 60's house, 1500 sq. ft. about 175.00 to 250.00 a month from may to oct. We have some of the highest rates in the country. I pay 15.3 cents a kwh.

Last year the house was 860sq ft, we added 300sq ft.

And this is with a 16x32 shop that has AC running 4 months of the year
All electric house.
This past winter with the remodel, there was a couple months with a lot of insulation missing from the attic as I had it raked to the side, and the garage rooms were not insulated. Had to do a LOT of electric work in the attic before I could have new blown in.
