91 3.0 alpha 1 drive replacing the limiter switchs

Working on a 91 3.0 liter mercruiser with a alpha one stern drive.After figuring out why the trailer switch wasn't working it seems someone decided to do alot of splicing instead of fixing it right the first time.Anyways they have the limit switch bypassed.I have the new limiter switch but how do u replace the wiring thru the transom?

the old wiring should still be there so you could just use that or snake in new line

By Disassembling the Transom,+ Feeding them Thru..............

That's Why it was By-passed..........

Mine are Just Plain Gone,......
I put some Fancy Billet Aluminum Caps on there.........

the old wiring should still be there so you could just use that or snake in new line

And just How would you Do That,..??..??....

after u take the helmit off there's a small bolt you take it off and then feed it threw

If you have a 1991 drive, it's an Alpha I Gen II
If you have a 1990 drive, it's an Alpha I

Which do you have??????? Cause you said Alpha I, but you also said 1991

it's a 1991 alpha 1 gen II

Thanks that looks like fun.I'm a certified auto tech for gm and i have alot of special tools for getting into tight places. So i might have to c if i can cheat.I can c the one bolt that holds the clamp.Tomorrow i'll try and c if i can c the other bolt..If all else fails i'll have to remove the sterndrive then.
