was wondering if anyone can help me and if i am even on the right forum ? first let me say that in my state this does not fall under the PWC laws and is reg as a Boat. i have the 175 hp 6 cyl merc cruiser i believe and last fall i put it in and used it with not problem one day, the next day went to start it and turned over but no spark at all. this boat (?) only has 90 hours on it which i know doesn't eliminate anything but wondered if and of you had any ideas or thoughts ? was also wondering if there is a easy way to disconnect the safety toggle on it just to check that or nuetral switch?? thanks for any help and this is an unbelievible site !!!

If you disconnect the dead man switch, that would eliminate that possibility. Just remove one wire and try. The Neutral switch only affects the starter motor, it won't affect spark.

The Sea Rayders are a 16' boat built by Sea Ray that used a Mercury (NOT Mercruiser) outboard powerhead attached to a jet pump instead of an outboard lower end, and is not a jetski.
Your best bet for engine questions would be the Mercury/Mariner Outboard Forum
