Yep, sure did. I was coming back from a service call from our store in the Mohican Forest. The route I take is sorta backroads type road, mostly traveled by local residents.

I came up on a small car with NY plates on it. It was sitting along the side of the road with the hood up. They flagged me down and asked if I had an extinguisher. I looked puzzled cause I didn't see any smoke coming from their car. What I saw was steam coming off the gravel underneath their car from the catalytic converter. No fire,,,,nothing under there to burn. But they insist that something is burning.

They were jumping up and down with their noses pinched between their fingers ranting and raving about what they were gonna do. One of them said that smell is so terrible that she can't breath and wants to call 911. The other one has the idea of walking away from the car to get some distance from the smell. About 100' away they realize the smell isn't their car after all.

I started to laugh which really made them mad.........The only way I knew how to tell them this was "Ladies? Haven't you ever smelled cow manure before?" :D

Glad I took that "h" out of the title.....

I thought about asking them if the saw "Wrong Turn" then put on a evil grin.

I did get them on their way. They were only 12 miles from the interstate.

Re: Saved 2 City Women

Were they blonde?

One was with that purple and blue stuff in it and the other was a redhead with streaks of colors in it.

I was really thinking something was wrong with their car. I had no idea that when they got the wiff of the fresh country air that they would think their car was on fire.

I guess when one travels in the vicinity of fresh country air, you get use to it. (I'm not saying it is pleasant btw)

And city people think second hand smoke is stinks........
