i was wondering if any one new what the fuel line conecter on the engiene part # is due to the fact that the engiene was drug off the trailer in kansas. also need to know if the engiene cover is still available and where to purchase the parts.

The fuel connector part that is screwed to the motor is part number 376154, a real common number. Any Johnson or Evinrude dealer. As for the hood, you might as well look for a used one. A new one, if available, would cost more than the whole motor is worth. Same hood used for a number of years with different decals.

There's a fella that posts on the Seattle craigslist quite often advertising a vast assortment of covers. Might want to call him up and see if he'll ship.

i have a 78 evinrude 25 horse i got from my uncle. the internall harness was burnt. does anybody have a wiring diagram or know where i could get one? gotta get back on the water! thanks

There is a wiring diagram in the Service Manual, TDC.
