Had a dream last night. I will not go into detail LOL but in it, my boat was named Jesse James.
When I am in my boat it feels more like a "he" than a "she", maybe my boat is a very manly women???:D
Is it bad luck to refer to your boat as a "he" and is a masculine name going to **** off the sea gods?
I am a little superstitious and have read that all boats are to be referred to as a "she".
Thanks for answering my crazy question.

Re: Naming my boat

hmm. I like the renaming ceremony ideas, mine had a name that I totally don't understand, unless it's a family name or something. It was the "Bogan III" What's a bogan? Anywho. My dad, myself, and my son all have the same initials. So I was kinda thinkin about "Water CAB"... for the initial part. I named my old caddy after my wife, "The Sophie B.", but I don't wanna name the boat the same thing. Plus I kinda got the boat to have fun with my son, teach him to fish, water ski, that sorta stuff, sorta a father/son thing. Maybe I'll just name it "Quality Time"!!!

They used to name hurricanes and offshore storms after females, someone suggested that was P.I.. Now that they are named after both sexes, are they becoming less destructive?;)
