My oil tank level on a 2002 150 HP Oceanpro has only dropped about an inch max, while I've burned 80-100 Gals of fuel. Doesnt feel right.

Any advice, how do I check oil pump?

Re: How much oil should I be using

80/6=13.3 (80 gallons of fuel therefore requires 13.3 pints of oil at a 50:1 ratio).
100/6=16.7 (100 gallons of fuel therefor requires 16.7 pints of oil at a 50:1 ratio). Therefore the amount of oil used should be somewhere betwen 1.6 gallons and a little over 2 gallons (8 pints = 1 gallon).

How big is the oil tank ??? My vro tank is 1.6 gallon and over that amount of fuel would be near empty if not empty !!!
If you have a much bigger oil tank then you need to do a little math and work out just how much oil has been used. Then if it is nowhere near enough check out the motor for possible damage from running with little to no lube.

Re: How much oil should I be injecting ?

The boaters world guy says that injection systems inject far less fuel mix than the mfg recomendations. This just does not sound right. He said if you were not injecting write amount the warnings would have been going off long ago. This advice just does not make me comfortable.
