Pontoon wet with cover

Everyone,
Can't seem to figure out why my pontoon floor is very wet after a mild rain shower. I have a mooring cover on it whenever it is not in use. It is a 2003 Manitou Osprey pontoon. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Where could the water be coming from?

Bigger problem is that the water collects on the carpeting on the floor then becomes mildew, which has spread to the seats and even the mooring cover.
Any suggestions?

you need to ventilate the cover, air has to circulate, when it rains the humidity goes up, the humid air gets trapped, at night when thing cool down, it turns to moisture. we have this problem in FL. if you have shore power add a fan.

Water runs downhill. Since the boat is rarely perfectly level, and the rails may or not touch the floor (except for the post attachments) water can simply run under the rail. Carpet acts like a wick -- it gets wet in one area and simply is drawn to other areas.
