What is the fuel pressure,at idle and should the fuel filter housing be completely full. what are the symptoms of a bad fuel pump ? Thank you Dieselman

With the fuel tank no more that 30" below the pump, such as running on a test stand, it will be at about a pound at idle. If you are talking about the sediment bowl, it is before the pump, and may not be full while running. If the engine will not keep running except by squeezing the primer bulb, the will geberally mean a faulty pump.

If the engine is not running properly and you suspect the pump, lift the fuel tank so that it is above the engine and see if it makes a diff.
