i have an 1979 mercury 80 hp, and it does not stay runing... the only way it will turn over is if i started at full throttle then it will run for a while but if i try to lower the throttle it will shut off... i notice a fuel leak.. it has this blue thing where the fuel line is hooked too ( i think the blue thing is the fuel pressure regulator)... it seems that the motor is not getting enough fuel... if any one can help i will appreciate it, its my first boat and first motor so i dont wanna get taken for a ride if i take it to a mechanic...
