It starts fine but is producing a lot of blue smoke right after startup from the outlet on rear of motor housing at all speeds off-plane. Sounds/runs healthy on-plane and @ high rpm and there dosen't appear to be blue smoke from the exahust bubble trail. But coming off-plane the blue smoke is back after 15-20 seconds from the engine outlets.
This was the first time engine was run after winter storage and oil level in VRO tank was very low. Lots of fresh oil was added but blue smoke still prevalent.
Wondering if the 'dregs' of the old oil are causing the smoking or if VRO system is running too rich < 2000-2500 rpm
Is it safe/common/recommended to diable VRO altogether and run 50-1 premix right from my boat's main fuel tank
