Saturday while I was driving through town I saw a yard sale (you can't help but see them at this time of the year)..... and there was a large homemade picnic table with a 4 sale sign. I glanced at it as I drove by and reminded myself that I have planned on building one (one of those yearly urges).

I was doing some chores and sat down to figure out what I would need to build a study table. Made up a parts list and left it by the computer.

Decided to go out and do some ATV riding and following a long ride I passed that yard sale again..... table still there. I decided maybe I could haggle a bit so I unloaded both ATV's and drove back.

I pull up with this large trailer (empty) and the guy wanted $100 but was willing to part with it for less (moving out of town). It was a pressure treated table that measured 7-1/2 ft long x 4 feet wide (table top) with two attached benches that are each 18" wide. This table was huge! I offered $50 (there was more than that amount in the PT wood alone) and got it.

It barely fit on the double ATV trailer. My wife and I figure we can easily seat 10 people at this monster!

Now the wife has this idea that a few Adirondack chairs would be a nice added touch..... guess what I am going to end up building! ;)
