In the fall I used West Marine On&Off to remove the stain on the waterline.
The boat has been in the water for ~ 1 month and it already has a stain on the waterline!!

Can the On&Off product be used while in the water? I know it is acid based, will it remove the wax?

Yes, it will work while in the water. Might not me environmentally friendly but will work fine.

Yes, it will remove wax.

If you're going to be leaving it in the water you will have a waterline reappearing every few weeks. Plan on a haul out every couple of months to clean the hull. Where I live I can get a waterline after two days in the water.

I have one of those pressurized pesticide sprayers that I fill with on off and have my mom and the dogs stand on one side of the boat while I spray the other side to get the water line and then use just a brush and salt water to rinse it. I buy some replacement springs though for the pressure release in the wand becasue the acid eats right throught it.
